The Edge of Love (review)

Sat, 6 june. something called me to come to blitz megaplex. actually i intended just to have dinner, so i gone in short pants, slipper, and ripped t-shirt. but, i was so impulsive, and i need to fulfill the uninvited desire to go watching movie.
here's the answer: The Edge of Love. curious to watch Sienna Miller. i only knew little about her—except she's belong to Jude Law.

at the first second, i smirked, and smiled widely. The beauty of Keira Knightley (someday if i had daughter, Keira is lovely name). opened the movie by singing “Blue Tahitian Moon”. This movie is so me. with that jazzy soundtrack, rain, and poetry spreading all over the duration, and that sienna miller really take my breath away.

Kiera's performance is even make it harder for me to release myself in this lost of beauty. Kiera played as singer in the era of World War Two. She meet Mathew Rhys, her first love (its not first love that matters, its the last love), at the time when Mathew had wife played by irresistible Sienna Miller. Despite their rivalry, the two women become friends and the trio have happy times together. When Kiera marries soldier Cillian Murphy, Matthew becomes jealous at the addition of him to the group, and Sienna noticed.

Do you love me? asked Cillian. “i will answer after u back,” said Kiera.

and war change people. this movie is very subtle in developing the character. Mathew was boring, but turned to be strong after Cillian back from war. and Cillian doubted Kiera since he knew that Kiera and Matther used to be couple.

there's love in the air--vaguely delivered on the way the four main casts look each other. and it still can be feel at the last scene. This is the perfect movie, i dont remember when were the last time i go home from cinema with this very fulfilled feeling. all the aspects is perfect. Music, art—with that colorful expression, heavenly ensemble casts—while in my opinion, Cillian didn't play as perfect as his fellows.

oh thanks to James Maybury, for blooming my saturday night. i even look to the sky and smile to the moon. smiling—lost in the beauty.
